Constructs are mechanical allies deployed to help with combat. They can be used in both singleplayer and multiplayer gameplay.
Overview[ | ]
Constructs aren't explained during gameplay with the only information on the skills/profile pages briefly explaining what each one will "do".
Constructs can be combat-focused and attack enemies, defense-based and help allies, or be a mixture of both combat-focused and defense-focused at the same time.
Some constructs can be upgraded to prime and/or detonate power combos.
Each of the constructs is clearly named a "tech construct" in the descriptions except for the Combat Drone and the Defense Drone.
Types[ | ]
Assault Turret[ | ]
The Assault Turret is a combat-focused construct.
Deploys an automated assault turret that counts as a tech construct.
TAP BUTTON: Directs the turret to attack a particular target.
HOLD BUTTON: Detonates the turret, damaging nearby enemies.
Assault Turret (multiplayer)[ | ]
The Assault Turret (multiplayer) construct is similar to the singleplayer version with a few small differences in the skill tree.
Deploys an automated assault turret that counts as a tech construct.
TAP BUTTON: Directs the turret to attack a particular target.
HOLD BUTTON: Detonates the turret, damaging nearby enemies.
Combat Drone[ | ]
The Engineer profile while active has the ability to deploy a Combat Drone. This construct is both combat-focused and defense-focused at the same time.
COMBAT DRONE: A small drone improves recharge rate for tech powers and self-destructs with an EMP pulse if enemies get close. The improved recharge rate is lost after destruction.
Defense Drone[ | ]
The Defense Drone construct is only found in multiplayer. This is a defense-focused construct compared to other combat-focused constructs. This construct does have the ability to defend itself and attack if required.
Deploy a holographic omni-drone to boost your shields and electrocute nearby enemies.
Remnant VI[ | ]
The Remnant VI construct is a combat-focused construct.
Deploys a retrofitted Remnant Observer that repairs itself over time, cloaks when critically damaged and counts as a tech construct.
TAP BUTTON: Directs the VI to attack a particular target.
HOLD BUTTON: Deactivates the VI.

Skills That Boost Constructs[ | ]

Items That Boost Constructs[ | ]
Certain items can upgrade constructs while they are equippped.
Notes[ | ]
- The number of construct kills can be tracked on the Accomplishments tab in the statistics menu.
- Friendly constructs in multiplayer like an Assault Turret or a Remnant VI can be shield boosted for the challenge Shield Boost Use as many times as possible and will always give the standard +40 Support XP reward even if they aren't damaged.
- While it seems counter intuitive, it is possible using the Kett Carfalon to melee strike a friendly construct like an Assault Turret or Remnant VI and this will restore health the same as striking an enemy. No damage appears to take place to the construct from repeatedly performing this action.
