Data Pattern

Data Patterns are scannable items that can be found in most Remnant vaults. These items are holographic data storage patterns and Peebee speculates that each one can hold hundreds of zettabytes of data.

Overview[]

Most data patterns are damaged or corrupted and give no useful data. SAM, and sometimes squadmates, will comment about the specific data pattern and how it potentially relates to the location the data pattern is found. However, the data patterns found in Khi Tasira are still functional and provide insight and details on the Remnant.

Data patterns before scanning are a wispy blue diagonal shape hanging in the air. This colored shape is a good indicator that a data pattern is found here and potentially can be scanned. There are a few places where this shape shows up but no data pattern can be found.

Data patterns after scanning are replaced with a set of glowing blue glyphs hanging in the air.

A number of the data patterns will award Remnant RD when scanned but not all data patterns will.
