Ari Vesjek, an angaran scholar, is looking for information on first contact between the angara and the kett, specifically from the kett's point of view. He believes logs may be found in the kett operations center on Voeld.

- Disable security matrix - (see Kett Base Attack)
- Extract data from console
- Return to Ari Vesjek

Choosing hope or truth in the closing conversation makes no difference in the rewards earned.
This mission must be acquired before beginning Remove the Heart, as the console is in the Kett Tactical Operations Center in the Kett Base. Without this mission being active, the console is inactive. After the command center is destroyed, the mission cannot be acquired.
