Task: Drone Recovery is an additional tasks mission. It is a collection mission acquired by interacting with an outdoor terminal in Prodromos on Eos after the radiation clears. It can also be acquired by scanning one of the malfunctioning drones and placing a beacon.

If Ryder finds one of the drones and starts this mission by scanning and placing a beacon, the objective will be very vague and no drone locations will be shown on the map. The objective will instead point to the terminal in Prodromos. Acknowledging the terminal entry at the terminal will update the objective with the amount of drones found and the remaining drone locations on the map. It's not required to read the terminal entry but it makes the mission much easier with locations that appear on the map.
If Ryder completes the mission by finding drones blindly, and then reads the terminal entry after the fact, the objective will update as if it had been completed using the terminal entry acquisition method.
There is no change in the rewards based upon the method of starting this mission.
None of the drones award RD when scanned.
All of the drones will disappear when the final drone is interacted with and marked.
