Task: Gone Dark is an additional tasks mission. It is acquired by discovering and scanning a randomly spawned Resistance bug in a kett camp on Voeld.
Description[]
SAM has detected surveillance bugs belonging to the Resistance inside kett camps. Their transmission source appears to have been disabled.
SAM was able to narrow the Resistance bugs' source to a single transmission location.
Objectives[]
- Locate and scan Resistance bugs in kett camps
- Locate the broken signal
- Examine the datapad
- Return to Intelligence Officer Kaas
Notes[]
The source of the signal can be found next to Talvor's body in the Ja Niihk Dig Site ice cave during Uncovering the Past.
When hovering over the map icon 
for the bug, this item will incorrectly list REMNANT CONSOLE.
Research Opportunities[]
Unlike most other missions, this mission rewards RD when completed and not for scanning an item. The RD amount is unaffected by the Science cryo pod perks Improved Development and Improved Development II.
