The Widow is a sniper rifle.

Description

A heavy and formidable single-shot sniper rifle originally designed for use against armored vehicles. The Widows acquired by the Andromeda Initiative have been modified for additional portability—the original model was nearly unusable by organic lifeforms.

The singleplayer stats shown on this page are baseline: Initiative I armor, no skill points assigned, no profile active.

Despite what the description says, the Widow is not a single-shot weapon but semi-automatic. Using skills to increase clip size, it is possible to get more than one shot per thermal clip.

The following augmentations cannot be applied to the Widow during development:

It is advised not to apply the Electrical Conduits augmentation to the Widow due to an automatic firing problem. (See here for details.)

The multiplayer Widow can be purchased with the DLC Turian Soldier Multiplayer Recruit Pack.

All multiplayer specialized variant weapons are separate weapons compared to the Uncommon version.

Due to the different versions of the Widow in multiplayer, it is possible to equip multiple versions at the same time in the Loadout screen.
